The latest Whatsapp beta 2.19.221 update has been released for the beta testers. And a new unlocking feature has added in this new beta Update. A fingerprint unlocking option has been introduced and you can see it by going to settings > Privacy. In the privacy setting, you will see the option and you can turn it on by pressing toggle on the button which is right in front of the fingerprint option. After this, you will need to add your fingerprint by putting your finger on the sensor.
You can set a timer for the automatic lock. There is three option available in this Whatsapp beta ” immediately”, “1 minute” and “30 minutes”. Choose the option that is best for you. Now, all done. You will need to use your fingerprint to authenticate every single time you want to launch the app.
You can also hide showing message contents when it is locked and the widget won’t show anything in the notification because the content is hidden by default. There is still no information about when it will be available in a stable version.
