Call of Duty is an all-time favorite of everyone when it comes to video games. Everyone loves it, regardless of age and gender. However, we cannot deny that the new Call of Duty: Warzone has left many of its fans feeling annoyed and frustrated.

That’s right. A number of people have complained about Call of Duty: Warzone not launching and working properly. The most common error that people are getting is ‘an error has occurred while launching the game.’ On the other hand, many have complained about the game restarting again and again.

Even though there’s no exact cause of the error, it could be because of incompatibility with your device, limited launch permission, or an app. Nevertheless, you need not worry as there are ways you can fix all such technical and performance issues.

Reinstall the Application

First and foremost, you need to follow the basic troubleshooting steps, which include restarting the game and reinstalling it. Most of the time, it’s a problem with downloading the game data or improper installation on the device. Such issues can be fixed by deleting the app and reinstalling it

The only downside of deleting and reinstalling the game is that you’ll lose your game data and will have to start again. However, it’s the easiest way to fix the game. Not to mention, it’s basic troubleshooting that works for mostly everyone. Another option is to go to your device settings and delete the game data or offload the game. Again, it will remove your game data but will fix the gaming errors, in case there are any.

Change the Install Location

Now that we’ve established that limited launch permission is one of the reasons people are facing issues with Call of Duty: Warzone, let’s see how we can fix it. Yes, it could be fixed. All you need to do is change your install location and the good news is that it can be fixed. Thankfully, a VPN can be used for Warzone. Download and install a VPN and change your App Store’s location.

If not, you can copy the file for Call of Duty: Warzone and add it to a new, separate folder. It’s a lengthy process compared to the one mentioned above, but it works fine. When you’re done copying and transferring the game file, go to Battle.net software and change the location of the game. When you open Battle.net software, you’ll see a big button that says install. Behind the install button, there will be a small button saying ‘locate the game.’ Tap on it and start the game that you’ve copied into a new file. It’s a troubleshooting method. Though a bit lengthier, it works well.

Repair the Game File

Repairing the game file can also help as many times, it’s the game file that causes the issue in the game launch and its performance. In order to repair the game file, you can use Battle.net, the software we mentioned above. It gives you the option to scan and repair game files. It also allows you to verify game files to catch a bug like game crashing or freezing or fix it right there and then.

It’s a simple process that won’t take more than 2-3 minutes of your time. Simply open the Battle.net launcher software and tap on Call of Duty: Warzone. You’ll find it somewhere on the top of the panel. When you tap on it, it will take you to the menu. There, you can click on the option that says ‘scan and repair.’ It will help in repairing and verifying the game file for Call of Duty: Warzone. When done, you can play the game and hopefully, it will start working fine.

Run the Game Software as an Administrator

If nothing else works, you can try running the game software as an administrator and in that way, you’ll have complete access to it. As we’ve established above, Battle.net software is used to launch Call of Duty: Warzone. If you want full access to it, you must learn to configure the Battle.net software as an administrator.

If you’ve no idea what we’re talking about, we’ll help you out. Here’s what you need to do: start by moving the Battle.net software to your desktop. When done, tap on it and check out the ‘properties.’ After that, click on ‘compatibility,’ and tap on the option that says ‘run software as an administrator.’ After completing all these steps, open the Call of Duty Modern Warzone.exe, repeat all the steps we’ve mentioned above, and launch the game.

The Final Word…

Troubleshooting is pretty simple. Isn’t it? All you need to do is follow the steps mentioned above, and that too, one step at a time. If one doesn’t help you, you can move towards the other. Just be sure to remain thorough when following the steps above and you’ll be good to go.
