It seems that Vivo has a very busy schedule next week. The Chinese company will hold a launch event in Shanghai for its upcoming NEX 3 5G flagship,  scheduled on September 16th. Here a piece of new information is coming right away from China. Funtouch OS shared a video teaser for the new Funtouch OS 9.1 through its Official Weibo profile. The date is not mentioned in the teaser but caption “Countdown to Funtouch OS 9.1 release for 2 days! Want to know the design concept behind? We will not see you on September 17” reveal that it would be September 17th. So, it might be something that Vivo could launch the new Vivo Nex 3 flagship and Vivo V17 Pro smartphone with the latest from the Chinese company, Funtouch OS 9.1.

However, it is also worth noting that recently launched smartphones Vivo Z1X (India) and Vivo Z5 already come with Funtouch OS 9.1 version. So, it is interesting to see if there is any change in the new OS or not?

Vivo’s FuntouchOS 9 was released in March this year with the launch of Vivo X27. The OS added 72 new features + 55 interactive optimizations, and 263 UI improvements. Vivo also introduced a true system-wide dark mode, new icons, Always-On Display, and many other features with the update.

All latest Vivo handset comes ready with Android 9.0 Pie. So perhaps, we could see an updated roadmap for Android 10.0 with regards to the company’s latest product portfolio.
