The new Smash Legends update 2.2.2 is here, so you can download it right away on your PC (Steam). The latest patch notes reveal new features, as well as a new character known as Yong Yong.
Prior to this, launch day update with some changes were released. However, players continue to experience problems with the game. Several of these issues will be addressed in Smash Legends Update 2.2.2. See below for more information.
Smash Legends Update 2.2.2 Patch Notes Details, April 12, 2022
Maintenance Period

New Legend Added
New Legend [Yong Yong] added.
Introducing Yong Yong
A young dragon taken under Umbra’s wings after a secret dealing with the Dragon Bank. It is still innocent and curious, as it is young, but deep within it lays the potential for it to become a powerful and greedy dragon.
Yong Yong’s Skill-set
1) Dragon’s Fury (Basic Attack, Attack Count: 3 hits)
: Charges forward a short distance and deals 600 damage. Tucks into a ball and deals 200 damage when used as Aerial Skill.
2) Dragon’s Majesty (Skill)
: Charges forward a short distance dealing 500 damage. Hold the button input to charge Skill, and if it is charged for 1 s or more, gain super armor and deal 1000 damage while rolling for 2 s. Quickly lands diagonally after tucking into a ball that deals 500 damage when used as Aerial Skill. Jumps back a bit upon successfully hitting the attack.
3) Dragon’s Descent (Ultimate)
: Designates an area for 2s. Yong Yong jumps high into the air and descends rapidly to the designated area, stomping the ground heavily and causing 800 damage.
Yong Yong’s Skill-set (At Level 1)
1) Good Dragon!
: Decreases damage received by 50% for 3 s when using Ultimate.
2) I Can Do It Myself
: Decreases Skill cooldown by 24% when hitting an opponent with Aerial Skill.
3) Peek-a-Boo!
: Increases Ultimate’s finisher attack radius by 7%.
4) Beep Beep
: Increases Ground Skill damage by 12%. Increases directional control by 10% while rolling.
5) One More Time! (Rare Ability)
: Decreases Ultimate cooldown by 10% when hitting 2 or more opponents with Ultimate.
: Decreases damage received by 50% for 3 s when using Ultimate.
2) I Can Do It Myself
: Decreases Skill cooldown by 24% when hitting an opponent with Aerial Skill.

How to Obtain Yong Yong
Yong Yong will be available in the Shop for purchase with Gems or Credits.

Competitive Match Added
- [Competitive Match] Added.
- Competitive Match takes the standard 3:3 Dominion, then adds draft picks and a new Competitive Match exclusive tier. You will be able to play even more strategically to express your skills and place higher in the rankings.

Requirements
You must meet the following requirements to take part in Competitive Matches.
1.Have an Account Level of 15 or higher
2.Own 6 or more Legends (Seasonal Trial Legends included)
Matchmaking Explanation
- Before the match begins, 6 players must pick a Legend they want to play in order.
- Players will not be able to pick a Legend already chosen.
- A player who finishes a Competitive Match will either earn or lose tier points depending on the outcome of the match.
Competitive Matches will rank players on the global leaderboard for all Smashers to see.
Season Duration and Rewards
•
Season 1 of Competitive Matches will begin after the April 12th update and last until the May 10th update (KST).
*The length of a Season may change from Season to Season.
•
Placing at certain tiers in Competitive Matches will reward you with a unique profile frame that can be used throughout the next Season.
Note
•
Competitive Matches will prioritize matching players of similar skill levels, so matchmaking may take longer than usual.
•
Quitting the game after being placed in a Competitive Match or during the match may result in a temporary queue penalty in order to promote a healthier gaming environment.
•
You will only be able to participate in a Competitive Match when you are not in a team.

Bug Fixes ■ Legends
•
Fixed an issue where a player would be unable to use the Ultimate when being transformed into a frog while in Swan form and then returning to Ducky form.

Fixed an issue where Flare would still receive Ultimate Ability Effects even after Ultimate has been canceled after activation.
■ Arena
•
Fixed an issue where reconnecting to Dominion Map 5 would not immediately synchronize the Dominion Point’s location.
■ Miscellaneous
•
Fixed an issue where the last emoji could not be unequipped. All emoji slots can now be emptied.
•
Fixed an issue where information would display slowly when accessing the profile.
