“Oppo is a really innovative and smart company”, proved again. Earlier today, Oppo VP Brian Shen shares some images of its upcoming smartphone. The new smartphone from the company is going to have an 88-degree curved edge with no button on the sides. This phone will have the 100% screen to body ratio with no bezels on top and bottom. It will be called “Waterfall Screen”. This Oppo new phone will be the first smartphone in the world that will feature “Waterfall Screen”.
From the past few years, this Smartphone display Technology has gone under tremendous changes. We have seen full screen 18:9 ratio display, wide notch display, a waterdrop notch display, punch-hole display, slide full screen and lifting fullscreen. And now, we will also be going to have a 100% screen to body ratio Smartphone display with an 88-degree card on the side borders.
Oppo VP shared some images of Oppo New Phone on his personal Weibo profile Which shows that the screen will be e narrower than the panel of Oppo Find X. As Oppo Find X aspect ratio is 19.5:9, OPPO waterfall screen real machine ratio may be more radical than 19.5:9. It appears to offer a screen space of nearly 100 percent as it is equipped with ultrathin and symmetrical upper and lower bezels.
The image also shows that the new waterfall screen has no front camera option. It may be possible that it will be featured with an under-display camera or maybe a pop-up camera mechanism.
Unfortunately, it is not confirmed yet by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company about its production timeline of Oppo new phone with Waterfall Screen. But, We can expect that smartphones with a Waterfall Screen will become available for the consumers from next year.
