Last year, during IFA event, Google announced an Ambient mode feature for the Google Assistant. Ambient Mode is a “proactive” Google Assistant experience that is available whenever the device is being charged.  With the use of this feature, any Android smartphone or tablet can be turned into a smart display. You can use the smart display to show “proactive” information from your calendar, the current weather, notifications, reminders, music controls, smart home controls and more.

You can also show a photo slideshow on your Android’s Google Photos. Initially, this feature was only available on two tablets and two smartphones as — the Lenovo Smart Tab M8 HD, Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab and the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2. At the moment, this feature is finally rolling out to OnePlus smartphones as well (OnePlus 3 and above).
