Honor V30 Will Be The First Smartphone To Launch With Kirin 990 5G SoC

Huawei launched its kirin 990 SoC integrated with 5G modem during the IFA 2019 event in Berlin. Further, the Chinese company also confirms the Huawei Mate 30 will be first from the company to comes with kirin 990 5G SoC. Now, Huawei sub-brand Honor has also announced that the Honor V30 / Honor Vera 30 will be the first phone that would be powered by the same chipset.

Honor brand president George Zhao Ming officially confirmed the existence of Honor Vera 30 / Honor V30 last month. The smartphone will be the successor of last years Honor V20. He said that the device will support 5G connectivity as it would be powered by kirin 990 5G SoC.

Kirin 990 5G Chipset:

The Kirin 990 chipset is an octa-core processor. The SoC has two cores of Cortex A76 running at 2.86GHz and another two cores of Cortex A76 working at 2.36GHz. The remaining four core has a design of Cortex A55 clocks at 1.95GHz. The SoC includes 16-core Mali-G76 GPU and it tags along with two big-core and one tiny-core NPU unit. This mobile platform also has a 4G only variant of the Kirin 990 that is clocked at a lower frequency than its 5G model. The 5G modem integrated model is capable of reaching upload speeds of 1.25Gbps and download speeds of 2.3Gbps.

Honor V30 Launch Date:

As very less information is available, We do not know the official launch date for the phone. But it is expected that this phone could be launch in the month of December in China.
