A new title update for Destiny 2 was rolled out by Bungie today during its server maintenance. Update 2.40 to Destiny 2 is out, and Bungie has tagged it as hotfix 3.4.0.4. You can find the patch notes below.
PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC users can now download Destiny 2 update 2.40 (1.035.000). This new hotfix for Destiny 2 addresses crashes found in Gambit and Dares of Eternity. Furthermore, It also includes stability fixes.
Recently, there was an update that included various bug fixes and changes. Despite this, players continue to experience issues. The Destiny 2 patch 2.40 will correct some of these issues. See below for further information.

DARES OF ETERNITY
- Fixed an issue causing less Reputation to be rewarded in Dares of Eternity than intended.
GAMEPLAY AND INVESTMENT
WEAPONS
- Fixed an issue where Hand Cannons would have an empty magazine when first entering into an activity.
ABILITIES
- Fixed an issue where the Frontal Assault buff was not reliably being added to the player if their charged melee killed the target.
- Fixed crossplay-related issues.
- Fixed game crashing bugs.
- Addressed controller issue on PlayStation 5
- Addressed a bug where Forsaken Ciphers don’t appear in a player’s loot stream if players already own Forsaken.
- Addressed various stability and performance issues.
- Other minor bug fixes.
